Common Myths regarding Human Trafficking courtesy of Immigration Solicitors

Human Trafficking is the process of moving a person from one place to another where they will have to face abuse and mistreatment, using various methods including:-
-                      Deception.
-                      Coercion.
-                      Force and Undue Abuse of one’s weakness.
According to Immigration Solicitors, Human Trafficking can take place even when you have given your consent for being moved. Even though most human trafficking cases involve movement across borders, it is also possible to be involved in Human Trafficking within your own country.
Common Misconceptions Regarding Human Trafficking:-
-                      Human Trafficking and Smuggling are the Same Thing:-
o        According to Immigration Solicitors the main difference between Human Trafficking and Smuggling is the element of exploitation. When Illegal Immigrants are smuggled they have given their full consent to being smuggled. However, trafficking victims have not consented or may have been tricked in to giving their consent.
-                      You will not be considered as a victim of Human Trafficking if you have given your consent:-
o        Many people consent to the journey (often illegal) with fake promises of a job or better standard of living. However, they were subjected to abuse at the end of their journey.
-                      Trafficked Women are already Prostitutes:-
o        Majority of trafficked women who are forced to work as prostitutes have come from very different backgrounds.
