Guidance of Asylum Solicitors With Regards to the Rights of People Seeking Asylum

When you submit an application for Asylum you are waiting on the decision of authorities based on your initial application. During which your stay in the UK will be as an asylum seeker. Once asylum has been granted the applicant is said to have become a refugee. There is no doubt that asylum seekers do not enjoy the same status and rights as refugees, regardless of which they too have certain rights and they are capable of contacting asylum solicitors if those rights are being violated in anyway. The following text elaborates on the rights of asylum seekers.
 Rights of Asylum Solicitors:-
As an asylum seeker it is your right to:-
-          Be treated fairly and legally regardless of your race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
-          Be able to practice your own religion and you are expected to show respect to other religions and faiths.
-          Have your application considered fairly and properly.
-          Have access to support and accommodation if you are eligible for it.
-          Have access to the National Health Service.
-          Have legal representation of asylum solicitors. These services are freely available based on your case and income.
Generally speaking you have access to various types of support based on your case. However, you are not allowed to work while the United Kingdom Border Agency considers your asylum application.
